The Tribe/Plemya impressions

I generally feel that any film he gets the wrong idea, is a film worth watching. I'm still trying to come to terms with the film. Even little details in hearing natural sounds makes things slightly unsettling, as banal as that might be. There's also the feeling of the lead character's view of love as transaction which is slightly disturbing. But, Christ, what a film. The way it's shot, everything falls into place just right.....although I have to give some leeway in that it does have a sense of Gaspar Noé but.....to reduce it in those terms is to spectacularly miss the point. Though it wouldn't be the first time......

Bloody hell, this film was both spellbinding and depressing at the same time. There's one scene towards the end that adequately sums up how I felt after watching it. I've been trying to come to terms with it for the last four hours. Unquestionably, it has to be one of the films of the year. Without a shadow of a doubt.
